Waste of time and money.

Waste of time and money.

Not only its expensive, you must pay extra for certain trains and other forms of transportation are not included. I'm currently in my first day in Portugal, bought two extra tickets and was barely able to leave the station due to the delays, missed connections and lack of other any possibility on moving around. If you miss your connection, nobody takes accountability,

Do not buy Eurail.

What a complete and utter waste of time and money. Wish I had read these reviews before I bought.

First, in Europe the right to board a train and the right to a seat are two different things. And one pays separately for both. Eurail, however, will gladly sell you a pass that tells you your reservation is included! And only upon arriving at the train will you find out that is not the case. And the experience is humiliating. Neither train attendants nor fellow passengers are empathetic. We have a first class pass. It has been next to useless. I have been verbally abused and bullied for simply paying hundreds of Euros and trusting in Eurail’s promise to the traveller. Yes, there are disclaimers about peak periods. I understand it’s a busy travel season. But when one’s pass tells you, in print, a reservation is not needed AND is included, and it isn’t? Well that’s simply fraudulent.

A “thank you, we are sorry about your experience” response isn’t good enough. Refunds are in order.

Don’t buy a pass.

Absolutely miserable experience

Absolutely miserable experience at every turn. Reservations require an in-person visit to a station in many countries and required a wait in excess of 2 hours to speak with an agent. Digital kiosks do not work to make a reservation with a global pass and it’s easier and likely cheaper to just buy individual tickets. Where reservations are not required trains are massively overcrowded and extremely uncomfortable. Digital tickets fail more than half the time and have to be overridden by a rail worker. Trains are unreliable and we got dumped off at a random station due to a strike and missed all following connections.

Useless

This pass requiers reservations for almost all trains anyways, and they still cost money. It is cheaper and less work not not have the pass. With many train companies it doesn’t work and you have to buy tickets separatly.

Not to mention the app and website are really difficult to use and you need to register so many things it is way more work than just ordering your tickets.

I need help please!

I need help please. I'm from Singapore. I've booked for Eurail Global Pass (Mobile Pass) on line via Klook Flex Plus application. I'll be heading to Paris mid September.
This is for Regular Flexible 10 days in 2 months Second Class.
I intend to use it from 25 Sept.
Payment already made on line & I received e mail with confirmation of my booking reference number & also payment reference number.
Question is, when I go to Klook application, clicked on the booking to view my voucher, it keeps saying "nothing booked yet".
Can someone kindly assist me?
Did I miss anything? I wished I could talk to someone to help guide me through.
Please, please, please help.

Beware don't buy a eurail pass

Eurail passes are useless as you can't get seat reservations for any of the fast trains. You can only get on the slow or local trains for which you don't need a seat reservation. Beware don't buy one unless you look into it and travel in the complete down season.

Shame on you

I feel ashamed that a company that represents Europe has such a lack of consideration for their users. I sent two messages, one by email and another on the Messenger bot and I am waiting 6 weeks for a answer. I bought the Interail on promotion and I was entitled for a refund, but I am unable to do so on the website. According to them, I have up to 6 months before the expiration to request the refund, if you take months to answer, how can I get my refund??

This is the worst pass ever

This is the worst pass ever. The app is not intuitive. Very hard to add a trip. The Italian rail will tell you to just activate the pass and get on the train but inspite of all this you will be faced by rude Italian ticket Checkers who will tell you they are doing their job and fine you. Just one word…terrible and don’t waste your money on this

Quick help in times of corona

I was travelling through Scandinavia when I got Corona on the day I wanted to go back to my home country. I wrote to the Eurail Team of they could give me another travel day, so I could travel back home and they answered me after a few hours. Everything worked out really good and all the people I had contact with were very nice!
